2010 Caddo Christmas Party

Caddo Tribe had their annual Christmas Party. Party was hosted by Michael Garrison at the Armory next to Randoll Mil Park. Michael had some great crafts and games for the girls. They made Santa, Rudolph, Snowman, Penguin Crafts. In addition, they played pin the nose on Rudolph. Girls played a game where they drew Rudolph with their eyes closed. The night ended with the girls doing a gift exchange. After, my daughter said it was the "most fun meeting ever!" It's good to spend time with great friends that we've met thru the program. Thanks for a great night Michael!

2010 Princess Fall Campout

It was another fantastic campout. Weather was beautiful! Friday night girls put on a fashion show, dressing up in their Halloween costumes. After a delicious breakfast, girls and dads did a geocache and competed in the "Olympic Games." Lots of fun! Girls carved pumpkins and decorated the campsite. That night, we had the bonfire ceremony where several girls were recognized for the deeds they have done. Also, Madison Ginani represented the tribe in a "Minute to Win It" game. We had smores along the campfire and peach cobbler for dessert. The next morning we went the devotional and headed home. Enjoy the pictures. Can't wait for the next campout!

July 2010 Meeting "The Bee Keeper"

July's meeting was a good one. We teamed up with the Choctaw Guides Tribe and had Tim the Bee Keeper come visit and show us a few of his hives as well as educate us on bees. Pretty interesting stuff. We learned how important bees are to our food supply, how bees make honey, and interesting tidbits like why bees seem to be more calm when smoke is applied to them. Later we enjoyed hotdogs and brats with the Choctaw Tribe.

We also had a chance to discuss some important dates and business. The Patch Design contest entries are due by August 17th at the Longhouse. The daughters of the chiefs will vote on the winners of each event patch that night. August 28th is the Carnival and Caddo is responsible for Karaoke again. Don't forget to invite guests. The New Dad's Orientation is on September 7th and the Induction is on September 18th.
Thomas Harlan is hosting the September Meeting. I (Mike Ginani) am hosting the October Meeting and Stewart Wessel is hosting November's Meeting. We want to have hosts squared away for the rest of the meetings throughout the year.

2010 Princess Spring Campout

Awesome! Maybe the best campout ever. Weather was great for most of the campout. Friday night we arrived, set-up our tents and ate dutch oven chicken enchiladas with smores for dessert. Saturday we had a lot of activities planned. The girls participated in the "Olympics" which conisted of a Father - Daughter Water Ballon Toss, a Velcro Ball Toss, and a Closest to the Pin Frisbee Golf Contest. Many of the girls won awards and as a tribe the Caddo won the event! The girls also did some fishing and Delaney Wessell won the award for largest fish and our guest, Emily Ruggiero, won the award for most fish. A big part of Saturday was spent attacking other tribes with water balloons. We had the bonfire that night and saw the induction of a new tribal chief, Thomas Harlan. Congrats to Thomas and Kudos to Allen for leading us the last year. The girls also came up with a new tribal song "Sleeping on the Ground", which they sung in front of the whole nation. Tommy treated us to Fried Catfish for Dinner that night. The kids went to bed and a few of the Dads played the card game, Up River Down River. The next morning we had the devotional and went to breakfast together as a tribe. Enjoy the pictures below. 2010 Family Campout

The Family Campout was a great time! Very windy but we all enjoyed it. We started the campout by having dinner at Babe's Chicken in Sanger. That night we had smores by the campfire. The next morning we visited the Ray Roberts State Park Interpretive Nature Center. The kids learned about the grey wolf, bobcat, coyote, snapping turtle. Later that day, a few of the kids went on a nature walk with the park ranger. Right before the dinner the kids participated in the "Olympics" where they competed in tug of war, egg toss, three legged race, race carrying egg on a spoon. The next morning we attended the devotional and headed home. All in all - a big success! Enjoy the pictures below.
